  The Spoon River Solar Farm is Fulton County's foray into renewable energy. The farm is a 500 KW solar array consisting of 2,062 solar panels located on approximately five acres. The farm's design should provide a 25-year life. Across the highway is the Spoon River Solar Farm Learning Center. The Learning Center is designed for children, adults, and families to learn about, understand, and interact with solar technology. The Solar Farm and Learning Center were dedicated on October 16th, 2015. The Learnig Center is an educational and fun way to explore the solar side of renewable energy. The Solar Farm itself is restricted due to safety reasons (high voltage)
